DESCRIPTION

The Triumphant Church: A Daily Synaxarion of the Eastern Orthodox Church provides summaries the lives of over 1,000 saints and mentions over 2,000 saints. The purpose of this volume is not to be exhaustive but rather diverse in nature. Towards this end, the synaxarion provides the reader with a variety of saints for the entire year (man, women, generals, ascetics, martyrs, confessors, equal to the apostles, mercenaries and many more). The Triumphant Church provides saints from all periods and many ethnic backgrounds as well as the most famous and traditional holidays. In providing this synaxarion, it is important to remember the reader that the celebration is based on their death day as this is their first day of eternity.
