Metropolitan Chrysostomos of Kitium

Metropolitan Chrysostomos was born in June 1938. In 1958, he became a novice of the Maheras Monastery. He studied in the Business School in Cyprus's gymnasium.

In 1955 he was ordained a deacon. From 1962 until 1970, he studied in the Legal and Theological Faculties of the University of Athens. On June 7, 1970, he was ordained a presbyter with the elevation to archimandrite in the Maheras Monastery.

On October 24, 1973, he was elected Metropolitan of Kitium. His episcopal consecration took place on October 26, 1973.

His name day is January 27.
