Metropolitan Augustinos (Lambardakis) of Germany and Exarch of Central Europe

Metropolitan Augustinos (Lambardakis) was born on February 7, 1938, in Chania, Crete. He was ordained to the deaconate in 1960. In that same year, he graduated from the Halki Theological School. He has done further studies in Salzburg, Munster and Berlin. In 1964, he was ordained to the priesthood. He was consecrated Bishop of Elaia, Vicar of the Metropolitan of Germany, on March 26, 1972. He was elevated to Metropolitan of Germany on November 8, 1980.
