Biography
His Grace Metropolitan Agathangelos (Tampouratzakis) was born in 1929 in Neapoli, Crete. He has studied Theology and Sociology and Law in Paris. He was ordained a deacon in 1949 and a priest in 1957. He was elected and ordained as Bishop of Didymoticho and Orestias in 1974. In 1986, he was elected as Metropolitan of Nea Smyrna.
